Special Considerations - Mutual Aid Support

Mutual aid support involves the activation of previously developed cross-jurisdictional protocols for resource acquisition and utilization of personnel and equipment/materials.

While not generally included in mutual aid agreements, preplanning for additional convergent volunteer personnel will assist in coordinating unsolicited help and assistance. Proactive planning for additional volunteer personnel by creating credentialing plans and protocols as well as staging areas for volunteers can alleviate additional security personnel and logistical support needed to address, organize and potentially utilize these additional human assets.
