Personal Protection Equipment - Level C

Level C involves an powered air purifying respirator sometimes called a PAPR for portable air purifying respirator. The garb includes a hooded chemical resistant suit and also boots and gloves. This level of protection is used by trained first responder or trained hospital personnel in the warm zone with less contamination risk.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Safety (NIOSH) is one of the federal agencies which provide information on occupational safety equipment including the following web page for CBRN approved respirators.
