Apply Now for the 2026-2027 NAEMSP Quality & Safety Course
NAEMSP is committed to developing and nurturing the next generation of clinical quality and patient safety leaders in the EMS community. The NAEMSP Year-Long Quality Improvement and Safety Course provides EMS physicians and quality improvement leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in their region, system or agency. Participants will develop an in-depth understanding of how to apply tools and strategies of quality improvement to their local needs to affect the care of patients.
Applications will be reviewed by faculty beginning July 10th through July 31st. No notifications will go out to applicants during the application or review process.
Applicants will be notified by August 10, 2026, if they are accepted.
The first course date will be Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

E. Brooke Lerner Pilot Grant Opportunity

The NAEMSP and SAEMF Innovations in Prehospital Care Pilot Grant, in memory of E. Brooke Lerner, PhD, will award $50,000 to support early-career investigators advancing EMS research. This one-year grant is designed for teams of a physician/researcher and an EMS professional to develop pilot data, strengthen research skills, and build pathways toward future funding. Applicants are encouraged to explore critical areas such as cardiac arrest, workforce wellbeing, EMS informatics, and community paramedicine while contributing to the future of prehospital care. Application Deadline is August 15.
